Non-farm payroll employment increased by 97,000 in February following an upwardly revised increase of 146,000 in January.
Service-providing industries added 168,000 jobs in February following an increase of 120,000 jobs in January. The increase reflected job growth throughout much of the sector.
The Labor Department also said that the unemployment rate unexpectedly edged down to 4.5 percent in February from 4.6 percent in January. The decrease came as a surprise to economists, who had expected the unemployment rate to remain unchanged.
The report also showed that average hourly earnings increased by $0.06 or 0.4 percent to $17.16 in February. This increase followed gains of $0.03 in January and $0.08 in December. Average hourly earnings were up 4.1 year-over-year.

All your stats are meaningless. You do not account for all those who's unemployment had expired. Do you not watch the news???? The stock market took the biggest hit last week in 6 years, the housing market is down 15 %, GM, Ford and Chry have announced one of the biggest layoffs ever etc etc. 120,000 jobs means nothing when in the same week, 210,000 lose jobs. It's not the robust picture you make it out to be. Also, the average buying power of the buck is down .03 since Nov 06. And, look at what the price of a gal of gas has done in the past two weeks. up an average of .21 per gal.

Here are some portions of the article you apparently felt unimportant to mention:
"At the same time, the report also showed that goods-producing industries lost 71,000 jobs in February after adding 26,000 jobs in the previous month. Construction employment fell by 62,000 jobs, while manufacturing employment fell by 14,000 jobs."
"The unexpected drop in the unemployment rate was partly due to a decrease in the size of the labor force, which fell by 190,000 in February after increasing by 199,000 in January."
Of course, taking one article about employment statistics and a report on exports/imports is by no means enough to say that the economy is "doing so well." Mind you, it's not doing poorly, but even this article makes the case that, thus far, the service sector has offset what would otherwise be painful losses in industry and manufacturing jobs.

What your reports don't show is that 85% of workers are so deep in debt that they will never be able to pay their way out.
As the old song says: "St. Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go. I owe my soul to the Company Store."

The liberals on Yahoo are here to tell you about the "little guy" though none of THEM actually seem to be one, they're all wealthy, apparently. I don't actually know any "little guys" either ... seeing as how all of America's "poor" have cable TV ...

And again, you leave out inflation. Ever heard of that?
In January inflation was up 2.08% - Guess what? That wiped out the .03 cents. In Dec 06 it was 2.54% - Bye bye extra money! This economy is good - for me - but not for people who don't get increases. My folks get an automatic increase each year. What do you get?
