How can Sasuke have Rock Lee's speed?

Question

Rock Lee had earlier told Sasuke that his sharingan wasnt enough because his body couldn't move at that speed. Did Sasuke train up to Rock Lee's speed that quickly? I thought it took Rock Lee years to move that fast. If it's that easy then all ninjas should move that fast.

I would say Sasuke went through intense training to get that type of speed.

Kakashi did mention about spending the time to train for his body to get that speed.

"All ninjas" don't have the Sharingan. Remember, the sharingan lets the user copy any ninjutsu, genjutsu, or taijutsu (hence, Kakashi is the "copy ninja"). Sasuke used his sharingan to copy Lee's technique, which is nothing more than taijutsu. After a bit of hard training - which is never really shown - Sasuke could move that quickly just as easily as Lee.

I believe Kakashi explains this explicitly in the episode where Sasuke and Gaara begin their fight ("Dancing Leaf, Squirming Sand"... maybe...). Good question, though.

As a side note to "Gamer2", Sasuke has not left for Orochimaru yet. This instance took place during the Chunin exams - you are about forty or fifty episodes ahead.

PiS. Sasuke could not become as fast as rock lee in 3 months if it took lee years of grueling work that sasugay has never experienced. The mind may learn the technique, but the muscles cannot function without continuous breakdown and regeneration to reach that level. His hair also could not have grown so long.

Using half logic and half PiS, sasuke "copied" lee (impossible as explained,) but could only maintain the speed for a limited time. Unless Sasuke had ninjutsu that could take lee out in a short period, he could not compete with his endurance, strength (lee naturally hits much much harder than sasuke) or fighting technique.

in closing, Sasuke s demonstration of ability is BULLSHIT that was simply an excuse to make him stronger. BAD WRITING.

Sasuke have Rock Lee's speed because before the final chunin exam, Kakashi taught him the chidori. To get that technique, he needs to move faster ; the same speed as Rock Lee.

Sasuke has something called a kekkei genkai, a blood inheritance. The Sharingan is his kekkei genkai. It gives him the ability to memorize any technique that he witnesses.

Kakashi said that he trained him, he taught him how to use his kekkei genkai.
The Sharingan is a special type of pupil condition that naturally occurs in all members of the Uchiha clan.

its a load of crap, to be honest when lee fought garaa and used his speed, u saw him drop those weights they were ten tons each, your goin to tell me sasuke could match that speed in 1 month, lets be real...unless some way he manged to copy the chakra flow in lee..that helped him match that speed i honestly dont understand, it doesn't make sense

after training with orochimaru, he is faster than naruto, rocklee and neji. he is much stronger. i think that it is because of his ambition to kill his brother!
