Good grief! You're asking for a lot.
1) Germany felt cheated by the peace treaty that ended World War I, so it was easy for a demagogue like Hitler to convince the people to find a scape goat for their troubles (mostly economic), to flout a weak League of Nations, and embark on an imperialist war in order to increase German power, wealth, and prestige.
2) Japanese militarists felt they had the same right to colonies as the Western powers did, and they were looking for natural resources to support a rapidly growing economy.
3) The Cold War started when two major powers with fundamentally conflicting philosophies emerged as super powers at the end of World War II.

The causes of World War II and the Cold War were quite simply greed and the desire for power and domination. Hitler, in Germany, decided to take over the surrounding countries in Europe and Hirohito, in Japan, decided to take over countries in Asia and the South Pacific. After WWII Stalin in Russia took control of many of the countries in Europe and made them a part of the USSR. He then proceeded to try to continue to expand and become the dominant power on earth. It was another case of greed and power.
The effects from WWII were thousands of lives were lost and millions of dollars were spent on the war and billions of dollars in property damage were caused by the war.
The cold war was a cost of billions of dollars in an arms race between the US and Russia and a constant distrust and fear
that someone might push the red button and start a nuclear war.

because germany was in the 'shits' going thru a depression the people of germany needed someone who would guide them out of that hole, they allowed hitler to lead them, due to his promises of giving them the reso urces help get out of the depression. once their leader, he wanted to become a 'super race' and wanted to conquer the world so that he may begin his annihilation of non germans and begin his so called super race. He began his greed by killing many jews and attempting to conquer other nations. world war II was caused by germany invading one to many countries, beginning with poland. Hitler invaded and conquered 6-8 small nations, but then things changed for the worse at the battle of stalingrad. Also, after their defeat, germany was divided into four part, u.s. france, great britian and russia had a piece. u.s. Fr. and G.B decided to or wanted to make germany one big non-communist nation but russia refused so it was divided into west &east germany. the u.s. wanted to help the european countries, with what was named the marshall plan, but russia refused and this was the beginning of the world dividing up into two camps, comm. & democ. The league of nations began, to help protect one another, but the major powers did not enter so after a while it was no more, but then the united nations was formed and is still together. helping one another.
wwII was also the first time the atomic bomb was dropped, after the dropping, russia which was already in the process of completing their bomb, they wanted to match 'power' with the U.S. and this was the beginning of the cold war, which wasnt actually a war, it was a battle of words/thoughts between Russia and the U.S.
