Our high school marching band is a high energy, high-stepping band similar to OSU and our style is modeled after the OU 110. We play mostly hard rock style music, but the key is the music has to be entertaining for the crowd. What are some good songs from this genre that are recognizable, and have good melodies/drum beats and would work as a marching arrangement. Also, songs from pop music work as well.

It's very old stuff but very rousing, even today !!!
Souza, maybe mispelled.
But, your teacher should know.
If not, try googling; he did some of the military ones ( am not so pro-war, it's not like that,) it is rousing marching and great!
Also, reading your details: same suggestion, but will add:
research popular hits from recent Super Bowls and other football games; am sure they'd have the pop-genre & if you can find some clips to listen to--you'd know if there was enough drumrolls.

You said your band is energetic try doing dance type songs!
Personally I think to entertain a crowd of people you would do something else besides hard rock...but I guess you could try

Under the Bridge "Red Hot Chilli Peppers" (rock)

"Dance, Dance" Fall Out Boy (punk rock)

"Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)" Cobra Starship (pop/rock)

Anything Pussycat Dolls (pop)

Anything Black Eyed Peas (hip hop/pop)

"Hollerback Girl" Gwen Stefani (other)

"Promiscuous'' or "Maneater" Nelly Furtado (trip hop/pop)

"Yeah!" Usher (pop/R&B)

"Get Up" Ciara (pop/R&B)
