Father paying child support is now current on payments, but still owes a large amount. It isn't listed on credit as a judgement. Actually, it says that it's one of his good accounts paid on time, just with a large balance owing.

Yes you can still get a mortgage. It will be factored in to what is called your Debt to Income Ratio, it will play a part in your mortgage, but you won't get turned down because of it. Yes you may get a mortage just keep trying if you are turned down once.
