If all you do is yell at him, no freakin' wonder he has a bad temper. He doesn't know how to express himself otherwise. If you want to tell him something, get down to his level and ask him nicely to do it. Then if he doesn't, then stand up and tell him to do it.
Parents are so afraid to discipline children now. They're afraid that child services will show up on their doorstep for spanking a child. You need to get into his face if he is outright disobeying you and explain to him that you are the parent, he is the child and he does what you say, no discussion.

I'm going to assume you've already tried the typical parental things so I won't go there. He's getting attn by acting this way, thats why he is doing it.
But try to get him a punching bag, it gives him a place to direct his anger and insist that he uses that when he needs to act this way. That really seems to help a lot of tempermental kids.
If it gets too bad to where it is uncontrollable then seek professional help. Get it underhand now before it gets worse.

Your child and you need to understand that you are the one in control. If you don't make that clear now it will only get worse. Try putting him in time out. Or make him lose privileges. Unfortunately some of the powers that be have outlawed spanking but at that age a few good swats on the behind could also be effective. Good luck to you.

Don't yell because it will just aggrivate the situation. Tell him exactly what you want him to do, if he ignores you send him to the most boring part of the house, maybe a corner or laundry. Take away his favorite toy maybe and if he continues ground him for the day.

Beat his ass. That's how you handle that situation. And take something he loves away from him for a long time...or forever...or at least until he shows some improvement in his behavior.

Could it be a medically related problem? Maybe you should see or talk to your pediatrician about his behavior.
