People tell me not to wear a poofy type of dress because it will take away from me....ppl will think my dress is beautiful instead of me

I want to look taller

I don't know what color....


Im also going to a semi formal sweet sixteen party this month and i have absolutely no idea what to wear for that!!!! I don't want to be too dressy or too casual!!

Good advice so far. I can see tea length and light blue. Since you are petite you wouldn't want to wear floor length or too dark or demure of colors. Light blue will make you appear larger as in taller or a dark pink would make you stand out as well. And you can probably wear any shoe you wish to, have fun with it!

I would say for you to go get a halter light blue dress and go with makeup that's neutral<<<<<<< I agree with this person... You already sound pretty enough and this will just help you be even prettier. And if you cant get no where on here... Check out seventeen and cosmogirl magazines.. around prom time, they usually have dresses and stuff. Check out thier websites too.
