lol...i think Jake could do it... you reminded me of celebrity deathmatch when it was Tobey vs. Jake and they made fun of how those 2 actors could be used interchangeably...which i think has some truth in it..

I'm sort of glad. I like the guy in other roles (Seabiscuit) but he never did it for me as Peter Parker/Spiderman. I think it's because I grew up with the comics and the animated series. That Spiderman had an attitude and maybe a little more testosterone. Comic book heroes should be a bit "over-the-top", I think.
I think he could have played it with more attitude. As far as a replacement, they'll probably get someone who'll play it pretty much the same. (Gotta get them kids into the movie so they can sell all that "gotta-have-it" junk.)

I can't imagine anyone else playing Spiderman. But looks-wise Jake Gyllenhaal could easily pass for him.
Mark Wahlberg is too old for that role. I can't see him doing that anyway.

I think three movies is enough, any more would just send the spider-man paraphanelia plummeting and stagnate like the Batman movies and Superman movies.
