Odd numbers cannot be divided by two, but can have other factors. For example 9 and 15 are odd numbers but not prime.
Prime numbers only have two factors: 1 and itself. For example 2 and 7 are prime numbers. Most prime numbers with the exception of 2 are odd. Even numbers are usually not prime because 2 is also a factor.

Prime numbers' divisors are limited to 1 and itself (2: 1,2; 5: 1,5; 11: 1,11; and so on....). Odd numbers are numbers that are not multiples of 2 (1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19,21, etc..). Some odd numbers are prime numbers, but not all of them are prime. For example 27 is an odd number , but not a prime number. This is the case because 27 has more than 2 divisors (1,3,9,and 27). Prime numbers can only be divided by one and the number. Two is a prime number and it is not odd. Every other prime number is odd though. Odd numbers are just not divisible by two.
