Zero , you bring up some good piont's but National scale?.....what are you talking about?....first off Wilt's wasn't even telivised..Most people wern't able to watch the game because it was a midwest game and wasn't shown on the west coast.
I don't know ...if someone went out and dropped 91..after bringing there team back ...after they were down by 20pts...playoff's or not...it would be the greatest b-ball performance ever!
the Dream did murder Mr.Rob.....that was dope!

It was great, but the greatest ever... not quite.
Here's why-
the greatest games has to be on a national scale. Kobe's 81 was local and 90% of people only saw it on Sportscenter.
Along the same lines, playoff basketball is the grand stage, not the regular season.
So that leaves two that I've seen: MJ in game five vs. the Cavs in 89. He carried his team on his back that whole series (and game) and hit a potential game winner (followed by a Cavs basket) which set him up for...

That game get s my vote (With Hakeem shredding Mr Robinson in the WCF after he got snubbed for MVP coning in a close second)

yes it definitely was...for all the stupid haters out there who think he was a ball hog, here's what happened
-he was facilitating the offense early on and guys were missing shots so kobe took control and started scoring
- Ummm throughout the game, how many screens did he use to get free???? Prolly 1 or 2 and they were weak weak screens by Chris Mihm...go watch the video and you'll see it.
- Unlike some "premier" scorers like tmac, carter, kobe wannabe wade, Kobe does not utilize screens to score and those screens even if they're set are absolutely weak and the pick and roll can be smothered by opposition easily which makes it very hard for Kobe to get free.
- So essentially Kobe shoots with a hand or two or three in his face every time and he wills his way to the basket
- he sat down in the bench in the second quarter for 6 minutes!!!!! lakers got into a deeper hole without him and he somehow managed to put up around 30 points on the board by halftime
-The start of the third quarter was horrendous...lakers fell behind as much as 22 and they needed a spark and kobe start to bring them back himself WHEN OTHERS WERE CLEARLY MISSING OPEN LOOKS HE SET UP DAMNIT!!!!!
- He was going through 3 or 4 defenders and scored at will and was very aggressive and got to the free throw line about 24 times (which is what kobe wannabe wade gets on an average night...)
IT IS THE SINGLE GREATEST SHOOTING PERFORMANCE EVER TELEVISED...NO ONE WILL EVER COME CLOSE!!!

definite! the two way, its the suited! If Wilt could have made some photos from 25 ft out, then in step with threat it could have been as good as Kobe's 80 one! yet to be a shield and score 80 one in the twelve months 2006, thats unparalleled. If I instructed persons that any shield, even Kobe, could try this days until now, they could have referred to as me loopy and pronounced it became imposable. i've got seen David Robinson do a good interest at a severe scoring interest yet he became a brilliant guy. MJ's highs have been in OT. Kobe in basic terms made January 22, 2006 between the main historic days in NBA history, it ought to additionally be the suited 2d out area of the playoffs.

no...i think there was a lot better performances...
MJ's buzzard beater against the cav's
MJ hook shot in the '87 finals game 4
Actually...Bird and Magic had a lot of great performances...
Caters' Dunks
the game when the Lakers and Spurs played and in the playoffs and Fisher put up a shot in .4 sec.
Remember the great games Kobe and Shaq had [not the fighting]
[i could go one]
