I know how to do the alt-numbers thing? But how do you do a check mark? Can you do a check mark like that.

EXAMPLE:

☺=alt+1
☻=alt+2
ETC............

click start programs acessories system tools character viewer! it tells you all the alt cominations!!

Click Start - Run - charmap

That will let you browse the symbols for fonts, click on one - and if there's an Alt code, it will show in the bottom right of the status bar. At a glance I couldn't see a checkmark, the closest was the square root symbol.
