What does El Nino have to do with the moon?

Probably nothing. I've never heard of any study attempting to correlate any measurable lunar orbit parameter with El Nino. It's hard to imagine that the moon would have any noticeable effect on a variable multi-year Earth climate phenomenon.

To be honest, I don't think there is any correlations between El Nino and the moon in terms of weather. The data, in my opinion, does not support any relationship in the two data sets. Since I am not an expert in the lunar cycles, maybe someone would have an answer to your question.
