Call your doctor. Pain could be a sign of complications. twins will likely come early, but could be a lot of things. Don't take any chances.

Lower back pain can be a symptom of labor...or it can be the result of lugging around that extra weight.

Since multiples increase the risk of early labor, I would reccomend speaking to a doctor any time you have the tiniest concern. If your doctor makes you feel like you are calling too often or worrying about unimportant things....you need a different doctor.

It is more likley to go into labor early with twins. You should definatly call your doctor and report the pain, most likely they will want you to come in and check you out.

Can you describe the pain a little better?
I have three myself and I am 21 weeks with identical boys.

Are you leaking any fluids vaginally?
Are you having contractions or cramps?
Do you feel any pressure?
Are you having any runny bowels?

Those are all questions they will ask at the hospital. If you are in any doubt, call your labor and delivery and ask questions. They may ask you to come in.

Call your doc. More than likely he'll want you to get to the hospital, just to check. Twin pregnancies are considered high risk. I was in preterm labor with my twins and didn't even know it! So, its best to get checked out. Best of luck to you.

It depends on the pain- where is it? Does it come and go? If all else fails, call the dr and/or go to the hospital to get checked out. It's better to be safe than sorry!! :)
