Are you thinking of a preconceived idea? That means reaching conclusions regarding some concept before knowing all the details, definitely an example of "jumping to conclusions".

Deja vu is the French term for seeing ahead, as in the future. Prejudice is the term for making up your mind by using a stereotype, or by judging before all the facts are presented. There are others. Consult a thesaurus for more options.
