I have a couple of amps, a few electric guitars and 2 basses that I want to sell (all used).

What is the best way to find out what they are worth?

Name brand gear has a high resale value. Cheap imports are almost worthless. Take the stuff to a good music store and find out what you have. Then if it's good stuff you can decide whether to consign it or sell it yourself. If it is junk, they will let you know, and you can sell it in a local free ad paper for cheap.

go ask at your local guitarcenter or music store. they should know. it all depends on the kind of guitars and stuff but don't rely on what the internet says on prices for just about anything because they'll try to rip you off

go to ebay and search for your brand and models, that will give you a good idea what they're worth.
