PAC, Special Interests ect. Can the NBA sponsor a presidential candidate? Hello I am a fan and my name aint Stan....Seriously that be really neat to be employed by the White House even a guard for the president. Is there an amendment against haveing someone nominated for the presidency with a disability? I just happen to hear the secrets people speak when I am talking in your sleep. I believe Abraham Lincoln was our finest president. His singing of the Emancipation Proclamation was integral to our country takeing a huge step to ending racial inequalities. By doing so he protected the freedoms of African Americans and although he was not perfect and was even rumpored to own or be associated with people who had slaves, which one of us is perfect and did not his bravery in his decision and boldness cost him his life?

File as a candidate with the Federal Election Commission.

If you are running for the U.S. House, Senate or the Presidency, you must register with the FEC once you (or persons acting on your behalf) receive contributions or make expenditures in excess of $5,000. Within 15 days of reaching that $5,000 threshold, you must file a Statement of Candidacy authorizing a principal campaign committee to raise and spend funds on your behalf. Within 10 days of that filing, your principal campaign committee must submit a Statement of Organization. Your campaign will thereafter report its receipts and disbursements on a regular basis. Campaigns should download the Campaign Guide for Congressional Candidates for more information on the laws that apply to them.

to have a realistic chance, you need to be able to raise at least 60 million dollars. That's the minimum ticket price, so to speak, to run a national campaign. For a job that pays what? 400-k a year, or something like that?

You will need about a billion dollars to spend if you really expect to win. So you put together a team of people who can raise money, others who are experts on various issues, speech writers all of whom you will need to pay. That is just for starters.
