Novels:
Beware of the Dog (movie title, Breaking Point)
Danny the Champion of the World

The Fantastic Mr. Fox
(He wrote the screenplay for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but not the story.)
Stories:
The Bet
Lamb to the Slaughter
Genesis and Catastrophe
Inaudito
Pisvingers!
The Ideal Couple
Re your details, Parson's Pleasure, Mrs. Bixby and the Colonel's Coat, Genesis and Catastrophe, and The Champion of the World are stories from "Kiss Kiss" that were made into either films, TV movies, or episodes of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." "The Champion of the World" was actually a short story that eventually became the novel, "Danny the Champion of the World."

I ALWAYS read the book first, because I know if i see the movie first I will never read the book. I have to say there are a few books that I think the movie and the book have been on the same level of greatness, one being the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. If you read the book you'd understand it goes almost word for word with the book. However, sometimes it's horrible, just terrible, putting the worst name on a book it could, for example: Lemony Snickets movie. %90 of the time the movie and the book are nothing alike and shouldn't even be compared.

James and the Giant Peach. That movie scared me when I was little because of the two mean old ladies. Ahh. I feel a nightmare coming on.
