Im just curious. I dont even watch it myself. And I have a friend that works at BET she said she and her co-workers got into a discussion about white viewers. Are there many?

I watch it if there is stand-up comedy on. I don't like hip-hop or rap, so I skip it if that's on. I watch BET more than WE or Lifetime, though. I can't stand the sappy "women's" movies.

I don't watch BET, nor am I white, but I imagine the amount that watches it for say the video shows could be positively correlated to the percentage of whites that buy or support the music they showcase. Hip hop does have a white audience. Those same songs are in rotation on MTV and VH1 (probably more so if they're on the HOT 100), so it may be just a matter of flipping between the channels. I doubt there is equal support for the reruns of black shows however, because if there was they would've had the staying power when they were originally on the air as all white casts, and more importantly, there would be more black shows on more channels than just UPN because of the interest in the them. But that isn't the case.

I watch BET sometimes, but it doesn't really matter what color of skin the actor has. I'll watch something if I like it & if the person is a good actor. It doesn't matter what they look like or what color their skin is.

At least BET is honest unlike FOX NEWS, CNN or even the National Geographic or a likes such as the Discovery Channel that broadcasts their views as if they are true and fact. They tell you what they want to tell you, when they want to tell you and how they want to tell you it. They deceive MILLIONS of Americans and makes them to think different and have a different prospect on how the world is shaped and their surroundings.

Not me. But I don't watch MTV or Vh1 either. Of the three I think I would be least likely to watch BET though to be honest.

I'm not white or black, I'm Hispanic, but I do watch BET. I love that they play reruns of In Living Color.
