Lemony Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events" books are quite popular and the 13th one came out last year. As I finished reading the book, it had ended with the Baudelaire children leaving the island with young Beatrice. I didn't really like it because it left many mysteries sorrounding the children unsolved. Many questions are like "Did the Quagmire triplets ever escape the V.F.D eagles?" and "What happened when Kit Snicket met up with Captain Widdershins and Phil and where did they go?". Other unanswered questions are "Is there at least one living parent of the Baudelaire Children?" and "Did the hotel guest(including Justice Strauss and Mr. Poe) at Hotel Denouement survive the fire caused by the children?" and "What is the Great Unknown? (As describe in 'The Grim Grotto')". I think that a 14th book should be written, one that depicts what mysteries are solved. After all, it doesn't make sense to end a series without solving major questions and problems that happen throught it.

There isn't going to be a "14th Chapter" as the 14th chapter is at the end of The End. But it obviously leaves questions unanswered. One half of me says Mr Snicket is just keeping us on the edge of our seats, and when we finally decided to lean back, he'll pop another at us. But thinking about everything involved in the series and how many things NEED to be unanswered, I'm not sure he will. The reason being, I believe he wanted not only an unhappy ending the series, but to the readers who were all waiting to hear the ending.

there is a lot of questions still unanswered in the series and i think there should be a 14th book. i do agree on most things you have mentioned. hopefully they will write another but they have said that the 13th will be the last book in the series. i am wondering all these questions myself. i have thought about there parents and i thought that in the 13th book, they might find there parents or get a letter so all there unfortunate lives will turn fortunate again.i hope this has helped.

there should not be a "14th financial disaster" because of the fact the 14th financial disaster is on the tip of the tip. whether it needless to say leaves questions unanswered. One a million/2 of me says Mr Snicket is in basic terms protecting us on the edge of our seats, and as quickly as we ultimately desperate to lean back, he will pop yet another at us. yet thinking approximately each and every thing in touch in the sequence and how many stuff might desire to be unanswered, i'm not sure he will. the rationalization being, i've got self assurance he wanted no longer in user-friendly terms an unhappy ending the sequence, yet to the readers who have been all waiting to hearken to the ending.

I believe there should be at least a sort of book with all the questions that went unanswered.
For one,I always woundered a lot at the end of the thirteenth book, The End.
p.s. none of Baudelaire parents survived ...I think ...can't remember....
