According to the National Bureau of Economic Research this expansion started in November 2001 when there were 130,883,000 establishment jobs. There were 135,230,000 establishment jobs in June of 2006 for an increase of 4.347 million jobs. That's a compound annual growth rate of .71% and THE WORST RATE OF JOB CREATION IN 40 YEARS
The administration has a nasty habit of lying. So they often use June 2003 as the starting point for their job numbers. SOOOO, let's use the administration's dates. In June 2003 there were 129,822,000 establishment jobs in the US and there were 135,230,000 in June of 2006. That's a compound annual growth rate of 1.5% which is still THE WORST RATE OF JOB CREATION IN 40 YEARS!
Still think the economy is whiz banging along? Only if you take their word for it.

I too am a fiscal conservative and completely agree Bush's fiscal record is dismal. The lack of job creation the last several years is a paramount problem that will bite us in the behind likely after Bush leaves office.
Of course by then it's likely they will blame the Democrats. The blunder in the invasion of Iraq to me seems minor as compared to the damage being caused to the wealth of America by Bush's policies.
Give the rich a tax break and the economy is suppose to expand because of that. What a joke. How about this. The next rich person you see on the street just hand him all your money and get it over quickly. Why waste time with a slow bleed of your money. That way, if the rich have all our money then the economy should really take off. Bush's tax and economic policy is designed to concentrate wealth among an elite. For those of you who skipped history class, that's what cause the Great Depression, the rich elite clean out the pockets of the middle class on the stock market.
I could go on forever on this subject, but I'm afraid it will just fall on deaf ears.

I am so with you on that, and I am a fiscal conservative. Just to break even to keep jobs available for those people just entering the job market, at least 150,000 jobs must be added to the economy each month. That number was only achieve in a handful of months during the Bush administration.
Living in Ohio, I see the jobless rate drying the state up. Of all the manufacturering jobs lost overseas, 25% of them came from Ohio alone. For every 1 factory job lost to the overseas labor market, 5 other non factory jobs are lost.
The job creation record of this administration is just the tip of the iceburg as far as the fiscal decay caused by this president.

enable us to speak approximately unemployment. It went DOWN final month to 4.5%. additionally, unemployment figures do no longer count kind those whose unemployment ran out. unemployment rates have additionally stayed greater on condition that 9/01 than it grew to become into while Bush took workplace. Inflation is slowly creeping up additionally. Your figures with regards to new jobs seems spectacular. lost jobs are actually not element of that determine & neither is the upward push of working age human beings. the better unemployment rates undergo this out. purely placed, the recent jobs are just about preserving up with the lost jobs & workers getting into the pastime rigidity. Even The Wall highway magazine is asserting the working classification has been dropping paying for capacity over the previous few years, the hollow between the wealthy & unfavourable is increasing pondering all of the spin popping out og 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., you have the nerve to call the White domicile internet internet site stable? sounds such as you're cherry choosing the information you have used. Sounds purely like the WH.

They aint listenin' Argle.
You could biotch-slap them with it and they'd still do the la-la-la-la-I-cant-hear-you thing.
Here's another little tasty tidbit:
In Milwaukee - one of our nation's major metro areas - the estimated gross annual "living wage" for one adult is: $16,300
A 1998 study estimated that 46% of the jobs with the most growth pay less than $16,000 a year.
You want fries with that?
Whiz-bang.

I recently saw alot of new buildings going up around my town and neighboring cities.
So now b/c of all the numbers and statics you just gave me, I'm not supposed to think people with jobs are putting up those buildings to create more jobs, homes, etc.
This is why we call you Sheeple. We can see for ourselves the economy is "whiz banging along."

Been scanning the liberal blogs again I see. Wow, you have
almost 1200 points this week......get a life!!!
One fact that you libs cant deny is that the unemployment record is 4.5%. Which is pretty good historically speaking. Also, all of the other economic indicators reflect that the economy is BOOMING!!!
Lastly,"THE WORST RATE OF JOB CREATION IN 40 YEARS" is absolutely false. During the Carter years, the unemployment rate was higher, inflation was out of control and the "misery index" was one of Carter's creations....whether he meant to or not.

I guess I'll have to ask the millions of immigrants who could not be happier being able to work in the USA. Maybe the US Govt. should include them in the employment reports? Or maybe they should just report anyone who is actually working in the US not lazy unemployed Americans who are to happy collecting unemployment than working at the 1000s of jobs that immigrants are more than happy to take?
