I just borrowed this today and I was looking forward to watching it and then I saw that it was rated R. I'm not really worried about violence but I don't want to see a bunch of sex scenes. Could anyone inform me a little? Thanks.

It's old, but there are alot of scenes inside the mental assylum and the staff gets rough. It also shows electroshock treatment in progress. It just grabs at your gut.

The film was made along time ago 1974 or 75. Back then They were alittle more uptight with the ratings. The most offensive things in the film were not sexual scenes just some bad laguage and sexual comments made by Jack Nickelson.
I believe if the film were rated togay it would be a PG-13.

It has to be the language and adult situations. I saw it a long time ago and I don't remember any sex scenes. I guess I'll rent it again1

No sex scenes really, I think it must have been rated R for the language and adult situations. I have it on DVD its one of my favorite movies.

There's not really much sex in it. Just that time Jack sneaks in the hookers for some real-life therapy on his cohorts. I think the "R" is more for language and subject matter (showcasing insanity can be very disturbing)

I don't believe you will see any more than you see on soaps. Back in the time this was made the critics were very picky about bad words. Not anymore.

If I remember correctly there are some playing cards that have pictures of naked women that McMurphy has in his possession when he is interviewed at the beginning of the movie.
