Don't they understand that the seperation of church and state was conceived so that everyone could worship God, in their own way, without government interference?

It also means that atheists should not force their antireligious views on others.
So that doesn't stop them. Does it?

So when Congress has an opening prayer, led by Clergy from different religions, isn't that embracing diversity of religious beliefs? I've never seen Congress open a session without a prayer. Or with an atheist speaking against religion to start the session.

As an athiest, I happen to agree with most of you on this. Most ppl enjoy believing in God. They find great solice in their religions.

Athiests that hate religion are like the uncle that tells all the kids in the family that there is no santa claus. They force their beliefs on others, which is what the constitution tries to prevent!!

Because some people are just miserable bastards and try to inflict their minorities views on the rest of us.

I can *not* believe that Los Angeles caved in and changed their city seal - used to have a CROSS.

It's pathetic - I don't see a big difference between an atheist trying to shove his opinions down my throat and someone trying to force me to go to church.
