How would i paint a skateboard?

I want to paint a skateboard, its a blank deck and im wondering how to do it. I want to use the eddie van halen design, you know the red with black and white stripes.

Just kidding. You would probably want to sketch on the design and handpaint it. Just go to to Lowes or Home Depot and ask them what type of paint is best for that surface. One other option is to spray paint the entire board the primary color and try to paint over with the design if the primary color is ligher. Again, ask Home Depot or Lowes for the best paint type for that surface. Also makes sure it isn't too slick.

first of all, you need to be aware that no matter what kind of paint you use, you will still have trouble with board slides. So if you enjoy doing any kind of slide, be aware.

(If you have any scratches or dents in the bottom of your deck, sand it till its completely smooth before painting)



STEP ONE:

Take off trucks, wheels, etc. till you have only the deck.

STEP TWO:

spray paint the board white.

and wait for it to dry

STEP THREE:

put masking tape where you want the white stripes to be.

STEP FOUR:

Spray the deck and the tape with black spraypaint.

and wait for it to dry

STEP FIVE:

leave the first strips of tape on. And put more tape where you want the black stripes to be

STEP SIX:

Now the pieces where there are no tape, should be everything you want to be red.

Spray the board and tape red.

let dry.

STEP SEVEN:

very carefully peel off the tape so the paint doesnt come off with it.

STEP EIGHT:

Wait 24 hours for the paint to completely dry to the board.

STEP NINE:

Put trucks ands wheels etc. on and enjoy your new graphic.

Think of a design first. Then take and either draw or trace it onto the skateboard. Then decide exactly what color you want where. Paint the board the way that you want it to look. Good luck on making a beautiful looking skateboard.

dude what ever u do dont use spray paint it makes it so u have 2 use a whole bar of wax just 2 board slide sumt'n

first take off your trucks
then get spray paint and spray it on make sure it is not windy because you have to do it in the sun to make it look nice
i have 7 and a half times expierience
