why do the buddhists in singapore worship and follow buddha when he said "do not worship me, i am not the way"

why do the buddhists in singapore belive in God or gods....when prince gurthama did not even taught about God.

why do the buddhists in singapore mix taoism and buddhism together and worship all the gods, when neither taoism and buddhism is about GODS????

There is one principle that one should always follow on religion:

Believe in whatever religion/faith you like and follow it.
Do not criticise or comment on others' religions in which you do not have a complete understanding.

You need to know more about Buddhism before you ask this type of question. You are not clear about the variations in religions in the regional countries and you are generalising too much in this question.

Have you actually ask any locals on their beliefs so far?
