I stay in Hamtramck, Mich. And with daylight savings, the sun raises at 7:51 and sets at 7:33. I need light in the morning not when I'm sitting down for the evening.
So I'd have to say it is 'cause people do stuff without thinking. And I have energy saving light bulbs and other stuff.
I hate daylight savings time. It killed the drive-in.

last year or so Bush signed a bill to move Daylight savings time up to get the nation to save more energy.

i read today that America is starting daylight saving three weeks early to save a massive amount of energy and also extending it a week longer than usual

They say it's to save energy,but I'll still turn on lights whether it's dark in the morning or the evening.
