You have to pay yahoo an extra fee for the privilege of using Outlook Express -- or any POP client -- with their service. Once you pay them, they'll provide you with all the information that you requested above.

I suggest you dump yahoo email and get an invitation to use gmail instead. Google email (gmail) doesn't nickel and dime you to death.

Good luck.

If you are new at this, Outlook express is not worth the time. If you are running XP, or Vista, then download Windows Live Mail Desktop. The only way to get Yahoo, to work with any of those is to pay for the mail service.
I would suggest, you get a free hotmail account, drop yahoo, and you will like the MSN service better. Work better, and it will also work off line if you need it to.

You will need to set up a new account in the Outlook Express. Your outgoing will be something like...smtp.yahoo.com and your incoming will something like...pop.yahoo.com Put in what your email acct name and password and you should be all set.

You have to have a POP3 address and a SMTP address.

For example, something like this:

pop3.sbcglobal.net

smtp.sbcglobal.net

Your provider will give you the proper addresses you need.

Contact your ISP and ask them how to set up Outlook Express. Thet have the correct protocol and can help you set it up

Call your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and have them help you set it up. Those settings change with each ISP so what works for me, won't work for you.

Hope this helps.
