I purchased a money order through a bank, they said in order for (my sister) to cash it, she has to go to said bank. Problem is: I sent it Tuesday and she hasn't gotten it yet. Does anyone have any experience with a lost money order? Will I be able to cancel it AND get my money back??

Please help if you can.

The excerpt below is taken directly from the USPS.com website:

Replacement of Lost or Stolen Money Orders
To replace a lost or stolen money order, a customer will need to fill our Form 6401 at a Post office and pay a fee of $3.15. After the USPS completes a payment inquiry on the status of the money order, a replacement can be issued.

She doesn't have to go to the bank where it was cashed. I doubt about getting it back. Sounds like that money order got stolen.
