In Kentucky assault requires an injury. The case would hinge on how hard you were slapped.
A slap that does not produce an injury would be harassment. Compare the two below. However, slapping someone is indeed actionable. I would suggest consulting with your county attorney.

Yes, that was assault. To be hit, kicked, shoved, spit on, made to trip, bumped by a person's body or parts of their body, aimed at and bumped by a bike, skateboard, skates, an object thrown at you, liquids dumped on you, anything that is a Deliberate act toward you is assault.

most assaults our mental ,verbal or physical but ,smacking is a form of assault ,depending on the severity and you did not deserve it you dint deserve it ,i would check with authorities, unless it was your perants don't call unless it happens more then once
