i just find this wierd, cuz this chick just came out as a lez, people were always saying she was and stuff. And now she came out, and people are freaked out.
why are people sometimes so ignorant and "Wheetalldid"?

They say it, thinking it is an insult.
Oh, gee, you act gay- or even, you seem so gay that I'm not even gonne use words like 'act' or 'seem' but instead just call you gay. They figure that to any straight person, which surely you are, since they don't know different, 'gay' is the worst insult. Then they find out and it's like telling a 'yo mama' joke only to have the person respond that their mama died of cancer two weeks ago- suddenly they feel like the worlds biggest idiot.
Which they should. 'Gay' should be considered no more an insult than 'straight' 'black' 'white' 'asian' 'male' 'female' or anything else that a person just naturally is.

A lot of times people talk just to hear themselves or to "impress" their friends. They might have only been making fun of her without even thinking she might be a lesbian. Then, when she came out, they found out the truth and couldn't handle it. In short, people do stupid things, some more than others.

Manly because they think its wrong or they don't know any one like her and figure its not good. Some people just say things about others and don't mean it so when they find out its true they just freak cause they did not expect it to be true..

I'm guessing the people where joking about the woman you know being a lesbian.
When they found out it was true they probably felt odd about using that as a joke around her or maybe they are a bit homophobic

personally i wouldnt be surprised if someone i knew turned out gay, seeing as how the world we live in is so corrupt. but yeah, people just react like that cuz they're stupid and dumb.
