can u tell according to his behavior or his personality? the way he acts(not if he flirts with men, cuz then it would be pretty obvious) or something?

I am not homophobic but I can usually tell in a guys voice - tone and pronounciation. I am usually right

You cant always tell, some are very strait acting, even their closest friends dont know.
Fair indications can be femininity, clothes they wear & music they like. If they want you to know dont worry they will find the way to let you know. Gay people often know easyly by eye contact or body language its called gaydar not to be confused with radar.
Gay boys they tend to have a lot of friends who are girls, they feel secure in their company, on the other hand they can also be very shy & lonely types who just dont have the self confidence to mix with other boys but they know what they like inside.
If you look out for these pointers then you will have a rough idea who could be gay or not. I hope this helps, good luck & take care Davidxxx

About half the time, you can tell by the stereotypical traits. The rest of the time, there's very little that you can do to know unless you ask or they say something about it. You know about metrosexuals? Straight guys that act gay. Well, the reverse is true. There are gay guys that act straight, there's just no name for it.

i sort of had the same problem, and i actually still do!!!
it's pretty difficult to tell, specially among the straight looking ones...
but you might wanna concentrate upon a few things that might give you a clue...
we usually take good care of our looks,right?
more than straight guys & that's for sure......
we're more into fashion,and the classy things in life!
may have more looks at the mirror before,during, & after outings.... not necessarily :)
finger nails made into perfection! ;D
how about wearing brands, i think it's a good peculiarity!
and you some how get attracted to them,it's the chemistry,
u know!

Sounds like you need Gaydar. No seriously, there is no one single foolproof way to know if someone is gay or not (other having sex with them.) And why would you want to know something so personal about someone? If they wanted you to know they would tell you.
And beware of stereotypes, they can be misleading.

lol...Mincing, drinking diet cola, well done nails, good dress sence, probably some highlights somewhere, goes to the gym. (Oppps been describing myself)
Being gay yourself helps - use the little gaydar, try flirting a bit (although sometimes straight men like that)

Other than that, check out who he is checking out. If he is looking at woman's legs than you know what he likes.
If he is checking out men's butts than you know that too.
Also I think barneysm is right. How does he say the word "actually"? Thats a tip off for me.
But its easier to ask.

you can guess by those things, but there is some error because all of that is based on a stereotype, and the only sure way is to ask.

There voice, there into fashion (alot), things they liek and dislike, basically his behavior..personality doesnt matter everyone is different
