Plenty of beaches as you can see from the other answerers, yet none seem ti fit the romantic apsect you are seeking. I can honestly say, that none actually fit what you are looking for, but I have a couple of alternatives that I have personally been to and think are the perfect romanti beach destination;
1- Obeori sahl haseesh - near Hurghada - very luxurious, expensive, but has it all. It is a popular destination for honey mooners so it surely is romantic and private
2- Mahmeya Island off Hurghada and gouna. Private island with a huge beach, small condos spread out to ensure privacy, chill out music and a great restaurant. I am including a reference for Mahmeya below
ps: i dont know where u r getting all the marsa matrouh answers from??some people are still watching Laila Mourad movies!!

Most romantic and charming beach in Egypt is in Marsa Matrooh ! "agebaa" or "3gebaa" beach in Marsa Matrooh! I'm an Egyptian who went to many beaches in Egypt, but which I was most charmed by was this one; I kept staring at the beach, even before I entered it for about an hour !

Some of the beaches about 12 kilometers past Marsa Matruh are incredible. If you go before May or after September you will have them pretty much to yourself - the water is crystal clear but be aware that the communities there are fairly conservative so "When in Rome, do as the Romans do".

The siwa area up on the med coast some lovely Quiet beaches,
why don't you go find out for yourself we did and had a fantastic time nothing like we expected, . you can not explain the feeling and the smells of Egypt, wonderfull country, try the myegypt.co.uk site we went with them and are going back again next christmas,

Sidi AbdelRahman
Ain Sokhna
Hurghada
Ras Muhammad
"Romantic" is something in our heads, with the proper companionship.

i think its hard to find a romantic beach in egypt because in egypt people like music and dancing on the beach , but you may find some quiet beachs in Hurghada ...

You might be looking in the wrong place for a "romantic" beach. If you are looking for that perhaps you might try a place that is a little more known for its romantic beaches like Hawaii or Jamaica.
