Top Contributors are not necessarily determined by an Answerer's level. A Top Contributor is an Answerer whose Q&A shows that they are knowledgeable in a specific category. You can become a top contributor in up to three categories. The more active you are in any respective category, the more likely you'll become a Top Contributor for that category.

I do not have a Top Contributor Tag but, I have 11% best answers ,but it is a variety of ?'s. I have had this % for about a week now. Maybe it changes/calculated by midnight Saturday or Sunday. Do you think that might qualify?

that's extra user-friendly to regain the TC badge than that's to get it in the 1st place. All you're able to do is to maintain answering questions in the class and get chosen as suited answer, and it would be decrease back under your avatar. in case you have contributed sufficient to fulfill Yahoo's standards, the orange badge will seem under your avatar on Monday morning. it may disappear in basic terms as unquestionably on Monday morning, in case you do not save answering questions on your favorite class, violating the regulations would not impact your TC badge, getting sufficient suited solutions does.
