How easily can someone break their legs? Just wondering, my friend broke his leg from a tackle, while my other friend fell off a cliff, and just shrugged it off.

Can you break someone's legs with a wooden bat?

The easiest bone to break in the leg is the Fibula. It is the small bone that works with the Tibia to control your foot. The First Lady, Barbara Bush broke hers in a very small accident. I don't remember whether she fell or just twisted her ankle.
It is probably unlikely that you could break a Femur with a ball bat since the Femur is padded with all that thigh muscle. The Tibia or shin bone probably could be broken with a bat.
I hope you are not planning on injuring someone. In any case, I sure wouldn't want to be hit on any part of my body with a baseball bat.

It also has a lot to do with the details of the impact. Your friend may have landed in a weird position when he was tackled such that there was a lot of leverage against his leg bone. Your friend who fell off a cliff might have gotten lucky with where he landed and how.

The short answer to your question is that it's generally hard to break your leg. The femur (your thigh bone) is the strongest bone in your body.
