My baby is 10 days old and we stopped using the vaseline about 3 days ago and it looks great! Just keep an eye on it and you will know when it is time to slow down on using it. They heal pretty quick if you take good care of them.

ITA with the previous poster. I remember using the vaseline for at least 2 weeks on my 3 month old. I'd smear it on the diaper and then rub the diaper together to make sure it was really on there. I was in the mindset "better safe then sorry" as I couldn't imagine his penis sticking to a dry diaper and not be fully healed.

Congrats!

It shouldn't take long for it to heal, around a week. I would do the vaseline for another few days even though it looks healed...Thats how I did my son I just would rather be safe than sorry!

Congrats!
