I haven't seen the movie but I've listened to the Audio book. It's good. It's nothing new; in fact one of the things they do is quote people throughout history who knew the secret and practiced it. It's similar to what Lyn Grabhorn said in her book, Excuse Me your Life is Waiting. It's basically about putting your attention and energy into what you want instead of what you don't want. The idea is that hard work and planning can only take you so far. The Secret helps you attract things that you have no direct control over. The tricky part is generating good energy by being happy and grateful in advance. It takes practice and discipline to choose over and over again to be happy when you have reasons to be angry or sad or jealous or scared or whatever. Yes I'm practicing it and my life has improved. I worked hard to write my first play but I have attracted the people I need to get my play produced. It will be onstage in July.

I was forced to watch it at an Avon Rep meeting last month. I spent most of my time leaning my head back against the wall trying to get some sleep. They spent waaay too much time going over the same point. I got it in about 15 minutes, an hour of it tried my patience.

I thought positive about my horse - he was seriously injured and now he's fine. So I kind of contributed him getting better to that. Its just hard to keep thinking that way, so I've reverted to my old ways. I did get a rock that I used to think of everything I'm grateful for, but I lost it for a week or so. I found it again today before I took the dog for a walk so I thought about that while I was walking him.
