How could women have let themselves become oppressed?

You do realize there is a slight dimorphic variance between men and women, don't you? Men have an upper body advantage in strength that is about 40 %. Males are designed to compete with other males for women. Males have a inordinate interest in paternity, as they can never be positive of it. Etc., etc.. It is no wonder that it took years for our institutions to modify evolved tendencies here. There are many places where women are still oppressed. The proximate reasons for behavior such as this to continue could be many things; such as financial and power acquisition.

A question that I ask myself a lot. I've never been oppressed by anyone and I would never let anyone do it for that matter. Some women just aren't strong enough to take care of themselves and they become easy pickings for men who bullies. I'm not trying to be insulting its just a fact.

the only real opression for women is unequal pay.

but men are opressed too. who do you think gets alimoney, child support, spousal support, and the kids? women!!

men get nothing accept not being able to see his children and having to give up half his paycheck. and on top of that men dont get taked seriously when they report a woman hitting him with a frying pan. but when a woman reports a claim that he hit her then all of the sudden the man is in prison and getting a restraining order put on him.
im not saying spousel abuse doesn happen. it just that alot of the times they are false calims and it can be exploited for the befinit for the woman
