this is a question on my physics heat mixes sheet and i really dont know how to answer it can someone please help????

It's because water heats up and cools more slowly than land.

So, as the land cools down in the fall and winter, the water is warmer, therfore making the land warmer.

And in the Spring and summer, the water is still cooler, so the land is a little cooler.

The temperature of the air is mostly influenced by the ocean temperature, which changes slowly. This is most pronounced in the tropics.

Because ocean temps moderate the changes. These is really true in tropical climate. Far north or south areas will have wide temp changes due to change of seasons.
