is this a good score? what are good universities?

It's a fine score. You should consider public universities in your state.

It's a good score, if you're only talking about critical reading and math of course...if you're including the writing, then you got a bit of a problem, but I'm assuming you're talking reading/math. It puts you right around the average mark, as 500 on each test is considered the average.

Also, public, in-state universities are the way to go. Quality education plus lower cost! Also, undergrad work doesn't matter too much in the grand scheme of things...as long as you graduate college with a bachelor's from somewhere, then you've got something going. The only time when the school you go to really does matter is when you're into the grad school stuff...but that's far enough off so you don't have to worry about it haha.
