“Stockholm syndrome is a psychological response sometimes seen in an abducted hostage, in which the hostage can show signs of having feelings of loyalty to the hostage-taker, regardless of the danger (or at least risk) in which the hostage has been placed. Stockholm syndrome is also sometimes discussed in reference to other situations with similar tensions…”, from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome.

Seems to me no matter how much the Bush administration puts our country in danger, the hardcore supporters fail to see that we have been “high-jacked”! The hostages seem to be emotionally incapable of realizing that we have been led down the wrong road. They are even defending their captors, standing behind the President.

They claim they are free and people of other nations are not, when in fact the opposite is true. They will use foreign nations as examples of oppression, but they have never even visited such countries!

American are strapped with debt like no one else, our public resources are shot (e.g. schools, medicine, etc.), we are burdened by red-tape and law-suits (the French don’t even have the level we deal with), the middle class and poor just get poorer, we have the largest per capita prison population in the world, high levels of violent crime, strict laws and heavy handed punishments, corporate control of our government, privatization, few vacations, we are committed to unjustified war, and the list goes on and on.

Wow. Have you taken your depression meds yet? Seriously though, Are you kidding me? The administration puts us in danger? Did I miss something? Weren't we attacked without provocation? More than once? How much do you want us to take and not do anything about it? I understand your opinion if you believe that the Iraq war is wrong. I have no problem with that. But the fact that we did nothing made us a big fat target with radical Islam. We were seen as weak and therefore ripe for attack.

OK the "middle class and poor just get poorer" is refuted by every shred of data on the subject, and France has twice our rate of unemployment.

Um, it's radical Islam that has put this country in danger. Why is it that liberals refuse to recognize that simple, indisputable fact?
