USC or Michigan. Two good teams last year who's best players are returning. USC has the edge due to their bowl game victory over Michigan.

I'm a die hard gator, but I know that USC will be #1. Everyone hates the gators also and after the national championship game, the announcers were talking about it then. In the SEC you must for some reasone earn respect even after you kill the so called best team. At the end of the season it will be different because I don't believe that USC is the number 1 team in the country, but we will only be able to find out in the end. But I agree with that guy who said we should wait 'til week four to rank the teams.

Florida will definitely be number one. Im not just saying this because im a gator fan. I mean honestly, to dominate the toughest schedule & conference in the nation is enough to get you a number one ranking even if you don't win the national championship!!! Although, we did, in a 41-14 raping of the buckeyes. And take into account that we hauled in the NUMBER ONE recruiting class in the nation, and that we still have Tim the Tank (By the way, this tank can fire heat-seeking missiles in the form of PASSES. Remember that) and Percy the Puma. Oh yes, I just created those nicknames.
IT'S GREAT TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR!!!!!

well i think it should be the team that won the title the year before but losing all of the players we lost at florida it will be a rebuild type year but tebo will do fine and we have the #1 recruiting class we may be down this season because of in experience but we will rise up again soon , but i think that michigan or usc will probally be the top as far as rankings but to bad they cant come to the sec they both would struggle with the nations best conference

As with OSU getting the preseason #1 nod last season, USC will get it this season. Michigan will be #2. USC beat Michigan and these two teams are returning the best nucleus of there previous teams. Florida and OSU will still manage to sit high with expectations of rebuilding but either will be in those 1 or 2 spots.

i hate preseason rankings, they should wait until week 4 to rank the teams...we saw last year when OSU was preseason 1 and stayed there because they never lost, then they get blown out and everyone's scratching their heads. that said they probably would have been #1 after week four anyway, but it's still the best because you can see all the teams in action first. anyways, i think lsu, florida, michigan, texas or usc will be 1.

With only 1 person leaving the defense, the USC Trojans will be ranked #1.
Pete Carroll did another great job this year of recruiting good, explosive players.
So look out for the Trojans!

It will be USC or as much as this pains me, Michigan. Florida lost absolutely everyone off of that team and thats what pre-season rankings are based upon.

If you're talking at the beginning of the season its Florida hands down, but it'll be another story at the end. GO PSU!! Even though we are plagued with Morelli, who is getting better, D Will is gonna step up and they should have a legit chance at the cship. Even though they are gonna miss Pos and Hunt, somebody will step up to take their places.
