If he's acting sick, he should see a vet. The despondency and malaise is probably worth a checkup. However, the Tootsie Roll is not very likely to cause a problem - I doubt it has anything to do with whatever is going on with your pup. There just isn't enough actual cocoa in a Tootsie Roll to result in chocolate toxicity.

I don't eat Tootsie Rolls...but if I did, I wouldn't be afraid of eating an old one. They have lots of preservatives.

Well, what kind is it? If it's vanilla I'd say take your chances. If it's a plain one....eh, just throw it away. Oh, and in the event that you DO eat it...say close to the bathroom just in case.

Id try it, it wont kill you. If it tasted weird id throw it out. Ive eaten candy from the bottom of my purse, who knows how old it was and im still alive, lol.
