Einstein and Oppenheimer assisted America in creating the nuclear bomb--saving thousands of American lives in the ending of World War Two and providing America with the nuclear technology that would establish the US as a superpower for the rest of the 20th century.

Former German Army officer, Baron von Steuben, helped to reorganize the US Army in order for America to be able to defeat the British in the War for Indepdendence.

These two examples of many, I hope, show that Germans have helped to create and advance America as a powerful nation in the world structure. Hopefully, you can move beyond the stereotypes of Germans as the evil, opposing power to America from both World Wars.
