Before you start giving him a dozen different things think back to what you had changed that caused your little one to have diarrhea. Did you change formula? Different water? Introduced other foods? If you did any of the above change back to the way it was before. Also, are you sure it’s diarrhea? My little girl at 1.5 month started making diarrhea like poop, I was going nuts, changed two pediatricians, and had a variety of tests done, turns out that this is her normal poop, a bit runny and gooey. I also have a friend whose baby at 6 month started making runny poop. Runny poop does not always imply diarrhea.
In the case that your baby does have diarrhea there are a few things that could help him get back to normal. Give his a teaspoon of rice cereal I his formula. Feed him when he is hungry and try to give him food in between feedings. Do not give him too much water, I would not give it to him at all, but if you have to not too much. Water is a diluter and can make his diarrhea worse. Do not abuse pedialyte either; it is not extremely health for babies.
Watch out for dehydration signs such as lack of saliva, sunken eyes and a sunken fontanel (soft spot). The first thing to go when a baby is dehydrated is saliva, if you see that he is not producing it anymore give him formula, water, then pedialyte.
Change his diaper regularly and was his behind after each poop so that it does not become irritated. If he starts to make green poop make an appointment with his ped he could have stomach flu, which has diarrhea as its first sign.
Good luck. Hope your little one gets better soon.

As long as your baby is wetting every 6-8 hours he is hydrated. If less than that or w/ other symptoms like lethargy, then he needs to be seen. Diarrhea for a few days is normal as long as there is no blood or mucus in it. Viral diarrhea can last up to two weeks but generally is less then that, usually more like 7 days. Rice cereal, water, soups, bananas, apples, toast and other dry cereals and crackers are all good right now. Pedialyte is fine too. If he is only going a few times per day it isn't necessary, but if more than that go ahead and use it.

be sure he's getting plenty of fluids, pedialyte is good, but he still needs other nourishment as well

as long as he's still wetting diapers on a regular basis it's not a cause for too much worry

kids get diarrhea. if it continues for more than four or five days I would get him to the doctor

Get the baby to a pediatrician quick. Diarrhea can cause dehydration and that can lead to all sorts of bad things. You should never let a baby vomit or have diarrhea for more than 24hrs. Call your pediatrician the first chance you get.

Diarhea (especially in babies) can cause dehydration, you should definitely call your doctor and make she he is getting plenty of water to replace the fluids he's losing!
