Tools - Internet Options - Delete Files - Clear History - Delete Cookies.
Believe it or not, this still doesn't remove all the traces. For that you need software that analyzes your Registry and figures out what Internet programs diddled around in there. If you're worried about some smut evidence, get over it and move on. If however you are plotting to take over the world, you'd better destroy your hard drive, because that's the only way you'll get rid of the incriminating evidence of your web searches.

If you're using IE, click on Toos, Internet Options then click on Delete Cookies, Delete Files, and Clear History on the bottom right. This will delete your browsing history.

in case you downloaded the grownup content at artwork, your place of work might probable have a proxy server to which the laptop Administrator can get logs of which web pages you have accessed. If that's no longer the case use ccleaner that's a good app to freshen up internet Explorer Cache and cookies and it does lots extra.

It depends on your browser. Go to tools, then internet options or clear private data. From there you should be able to erase your internet history. Be warned that someone with advanced knowledge might be able to recover this info.
