My buddy just recently got a fake id. It has his picture and all on it just a different state and different birthday obviously. He went into a local Frys/Safeway type place and they wrote down some of the info and asked him to sign a sheet of paper. This has happened to a few of my buddies before. Is this just so they are not liable?

Probably some sort of disclaimer. Providing fake ID is a serious crime, as is using it.
