You are already doing well by her by your example. Her love for you gives hope that she will come to see how good choices have helped you. But no-one can MAKE another listen to wisdom.

My guess would be that first she needs to learn to believe in herself. Would she listen if you offered her a self-esteem class?

Many people who are insecure and feel they need the advice of others, usually had the seed of insecurities planted early in life.

The best advice is to tell her to give some thought before reacting. You know, a time to give consideration before heeding anothers opinion.
