Hi.

Tests taken on the internet are not realiable sources to cite your IQ from. 156 is higher than the ceiling score of most professional tests. Actually, 156 is achieved by only 1 in 11,000 born individuals. No professional tests can accurately measure beyond about ~164, or a level of 1 in 100,000. Psychologists can only estimate IQ beyond this point. I love how many people here claim to be above this level. Duped by internet IQ tests.

In reality most internet/book/ect IQ tests inflate your score to make you feel good. They are sales gimmicks.

My score on the Ravens APM (35/36) extrapolates to about 148...however, the test has an artificial ceiling at 29/36 or 125 IQ and does not report scores exactly that exceed 29. As such I would say this score is rather unreliable.

My SAT score (old) is about 99.999th percentile. However, it is questionable as to what degree the SAT (old) actually measures IQ.

hi, I would take a few tests and get a average rating to get a reliable score, and trust me it varies from test to test . I posted a question recently as to why my IQ had dropped from 149 to 106 in a year !!!! I thought something was wrong but realised that I wasn`t actively studying at the time or using my brain at all, just relying on pre-knowlage. I wouldn`t take any test result on face value as I consider my self to be reasonably well educated(engineering/maths degrees) but am ofter out thought by my buisness partner of no formal qualifications. There are two quite destinct types of intelligence which are the learned and the instinctive and I have found that IQ tests lean towards the learned for their "ratings".

Intelligence will always out-shine learning.

I have tried IQ questions from so many different places- BBC, the Internet, quizzes, books...etc and each time get a different result ranging from 101 to 179.

I think I have different IQ depending on the type of questions asked, eg mathematical/analytical just before my maths alevel exam= high IQ,, spatial awareness= nil social skills=high, spelling skills=not so high.

The last time I took it - it was 120 - but IQ tests get easier the more you take them, as you get used to the style of the questions and the way it is presented to you.

Mine's 165 and when I did the test I thought I'd done terribly so to say I was as chuffed as a butty is an understatement!!

My average is 130.

If you took an online IQ test, they don't count.

Sorry to burst that bubble.

My last MENSA calculation came in at 182, speciliasing in music, (I have degree's in the subject), I think this may have just been a fluke though, and doubt it's as high.
