I'd pick Dirk but they both suck!

Dirk, but both are overrated. Dirk just because he can play big down low, but also can shoot the three.

Everyone who thinks that either Dirk or Steve are "over-rated" is not watching the same games I am, or are completely stupid. The Mavs on pace 70 games, and Nash's club is on pace for 65 games. Take either of the two players out, and their franchies win less than 40 games (if the season started today).
I would choose Dirk --
1. More years left than Nash.
2. Increasing passing ability
3. Monster on the boards
4. Better at posting-up this year
5. 26 points-per-game
6. Sets great picks
7. Better zone defender.
8. Unguardable. Can shoot-over almost ANYBODY in this league or take them to the rack and draw the foul (game 7 vs san antone).
9. 7-footer who can handle the ball
10. Best player on the best team in the NBA, so he definately makes everyone better.
Steve is a great player, but he can't defend air. He can shoot and he can pass, and he makes his teammates better, but even at full strength, Dirk owns him in terms of stats.
If you are starting a team today, pick Dirk and you're contender. If you pick Steve, you have to get other quality players around him because he can't beat you alone. Dirk can kill even if the team around him is not so good...

Its rare that you see 7 footers that can play the inside and the outside that well like Dirk does ...so I pick Dirk but I give Nash some credit cause he does have 2 MVPs and Dirk doesn't

Steve Nash is a Great Playmaker but Dirk is a good scorer(dunk, shot, 3 points and finger-rolls)but "Little-Canada" can shoot, pass, layup, 3 point shooting so i'd have to pick Steve I'm a west fan anyway so it don't matter

i say nash. although they are two different players, i'd rather have someone that can handle the ball and see the whole floor. dirk could flat out shoot the ball but nash has everything you need in an mvp. he could shoot AND pass the ball. he averages almost 12 assists a game and runs the most exciting offense in the NBA.

DIRK by far point gards are a dime a dozen a 7 footer who can handle the ball like dirk is somthig special.

Tough one, both are franchise players... I would call them =. But if someone put a gun to my head and made me chose, I would say dirk, he can hit the 3, rebound, score virtually anywhere on the floor.
