Hi, I am a 22 yr old guy and took an urge to buy myself a nice silver chain and plain silver ring as I thought it would brighten my image up a bit. Thing is, I'm too scared to wear them in public for some reason! Don't know why - just don't have the confidence - especially having to explain them to people I work with etc who probably would find it weird to see me wearing jewellery all of a sudden. Just don't have the guts to do it - any advice?

wear what you want stuff what others think,and if i seen a bloke with jewellery on i wouldnt think hes gay,blokes look trendy and a chain with a nice body in the summer is very attractive,to me anyway.try wearing something out on a night out see what response you get from friends etc or maybe wear it out round the familys first you will get how it looks from their impression but i would do what you want mate its done to you nobody else.

A lot of men wear jewellery. You dont have to go nuts with the bling. A simple silver ring or necklace will do.

Frankly, I think that the ring may be easier to get used to. (Make sure your nails are clean and neat!)
As for the chain...wear it -- just don't unbutton your shirt down to your navel! (Wear it under things, like your office shirt and tie, so that it becomes second nature to you.)
You don't have to explain anything to anybody. But you could always crack back if anyone asks about your "new" look that you thought it was about time to dress up what is already a pretty nice package.

I think its really sexy when a man wears a modest chain or earrings - nothing gaudy like diamonds or what ahve you but just a nice silver chain does wonders for a guy. Don't worry about your co-workers, they will notice but it will brighten you up!

All guys I know wear silver chains its not uncommon or unnatural Etc. Plus you are an individual who has their own opinion, mind and life!!

My son is very plain, and he was bought jewelery for his 18th birthday, He woudnot have worn them but they were presents from family, so he does. He will wear a cross and chain and a bracelet.. Do what you want to do. Why explain yourself, lifes too short.....

look ware it m8 you took the time to go out and buy it
i go out all the time with my tom on and i know people get mugged but it not happen to me yet (touch wood i never dose)
and remember 1 thing most mugger are low life who when you turn around and tell them to fu ck off do

if you want to wear jewellery wear it. don't worry what other people think. You are your own person and have your own identity.

wear the chain first...with jeans....navy seater....or white shirt....
on another day just try the ring.....
try them one at a time at first before you wear both together....
