Papelbon, Sheffield for Carl Crawford

Its pretty even, but I'd go for crawford. His power #'s have gone up every season, and hes good for at least 50 sb's. Sheffield's career is winding down and he may not be the same post-injury. Papelbon was an awesome closer, but will not be nearly as dominant as a starter. Batters leaguewide will learn his pitches/weaknesses, and he'll have to adjust from pitching 1 inning to pitching 6+ consecutive.

sheffeild has the fastest bat in the league of course he is going to hit the ball and papelbon is the next roger clemens and the person who gets crawford loses a valuable pitcher and hitter so who ever get crawford is going to lose in the trade

to be honest... papelbon is unproven as a starter, & i'd still rather have carl crawford on my team. He affects more stat categories than Sheff.

u should look at which side of the deal will help u in more categories (im assuming this is for fantsay baseball) crawford will help you alot in sb's and perhaps in hits, but the other side will help in era, wins, strikeouts, whip, hr, hits. so the papelbon, and sheffeild side definately wins this trade. good luck this season
